Personal Statement
Hello my name is Gabriel Youchak. I am a 2004 birth year hockey player. At the age of 4 I began my hockey career and at 9 years old I started competitive Hockey. I have worked hard all my life to play AA-AAA. Like most things in life, it was not simple to get there. With the support of my parents and coaches, I was able grow as a player and a person. By putting in hard work and dedication to better myself each year, striving to be the best I can. I made my High-School (AAA) Varsity team as a Sophomore(youngest on the team) or the (AA) 16u travel team as a 15 year old. In Middle School for example, I was a Pewee trying out for an all bantam team for school. I ended up making the team(youngest player) despite my age I was the 2nd point leader on team. The same coach, who now I am very close to invites me to play 18u hockey tournaments. With these opportunities I was able to gain confidence by playing up with the older players. I continue to train and challenge myself everyday to become a better hockey player and student.
