Matthew Swider '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Matt Swider, I have been playing hockey since I was in 2nd grade.  I am currently going into my Junior Year at South Fayette High School in the greater Pittsburgh area.   My main sport is hockey, but I have played other sports like lacrosse, soccer, and baseball. 

I recently earned a spot on the Varsity team at my high school, as well as the U18 amateur team for the Southpointe Rink Rats.  I plan to study education in college, and aspire to continue my hockey career into the collegiate level.   My attributes to a team would include playmaking, fore-checking, and a strong desire to help the team in any way every shift I am on the ice.   What makes me different from other recruits is that I am willing to leave everything I have on the ice at every game I play. 

My goal is to be able to have a chance to playing at the collegiate level, and contribute to be successful on and off the ice.
