Cole Lucas '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Cole Lucas. I am a 16 year old Junior from Friedens Pennsylvania. I currently play for the Northern Cyclones Academy 16U Premier Tier 1 AAA team located in Hudson New Hampshire. My goal in life is to become as successful as I can in whatever life throws at me. Up until recently, my goal as a student athlete was to play either hockey or baseball at the collegiate level. As I got older, I came to find myself wanting to pursue hockey more and more, along with earning a degree that helps make me a successful person in life.                                

I started playing hockey at the age of 4 and instantly fell in love with the game. Throughout the years of competition, I became more committed to the sport and aspired to always play a higher level of competition as I developed. Though I have played other sports and continue to play high school baseball, hockey has always brought out the best in me, not only as an athlete but also as a person.

I have learned through the upbringing and guidance of my parents that hard work and dedication to any particular thing in my life is the best recipe for success. With these values instilled in me I strongly feel I would be a great fit for any team. I love challenges and challenging myself as I feel it makes me stronger not only as a player but as a human being.  

On the ice I strive to lead by example by working hard all 200 feet of the ice and by pushing myself and my teammates to the best of our abilities to help make the team the best as possible. I always treat my coaches and teammates with respect and try to create a family atmosphere as I feel a close-knit team is always a better recipe for success.

 I feel what makes me different from other athletes is that I am highly committed to making myself better on and off the ice and in the classroom. I feel that it is equally important to better yourself physically and mentally to give yourself the best advantage in sports and in life.
