Personal Statement

My name is Pietro (Pete) Colacci. I am currently in grade 11 at Loyola High School in Montreal. I am a highly ambitious and dedicated student and athlete.
If you were to ask me my three priorities in life, they would be family, education, and sports.
I aim to enroll in a top college with a top-quality hockey program.
I have always been a smaller player, but my determination, persistence, and work ethic have always spoken for me. My dedication to continuously improving my skills and helping my friends and teammates succeed is second to none. I believe I will be a great candidate for any high-level hockey program.

This year, I finished my season with the most goals in the league and second in points. (UT!HL) It was a very fun year and our team had a really strong bond. I always enjoy playing for my team as I consider myself a strong team player.

Evaluation from Neutralzone.net - Pietro Colacci #19 (F, L, 5’5″, 141, NPU Rebels U16, 05/23/2007) – The Quebec-based NPU Rebels product went to the cage and caught our eye with a beautiful deke in tight to his forehand. He appeared to be able to stick handle in a phone booth. He also added grit and seemed to never stop moving. He jumped into scrums and loved to go win pucks in greasy areas. His stick was quick and strong as he played bigger and tougher than his height and weight might suggest. He worked very hard no matter the score and backchecked all the way to his goal line. He understood the transition from the backcheck to defensive zone coverage which is tough to understand for even the most seasoned players. Pietro played with a high IQ speed toughness and sneaky skill. Grade: B

Offer from the Jr Bruins - Pietro, I wanted to thank you for coming out to skate with us over the last few days. I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday weekend. Our staff had a chance to meet at length at the conclusion of camp and I wanted to give you some feedback on opportunities with the Bruins for next season. We are excited to offer you a spot to play with us on our Midget Major Elite team. This is a full season team that plays in the USPHL. Below are answers to some FAQ’s specific to this team. There were over 200 players at camp and that does not include the over 250 players that attended our evaluations back in March. Congratulations on being selected from all of those players to join our program and I hope the information below answers any of your questions.

I train both on and off the ice

Other than team practices, I am on the ice an additional 2hrs per week to strengthen my individual skills, like stick handling, shooting, and skating. I also train off ice 4 times per week.
