Nixon Rigoni '25 Recruiting Profile

I'm Nixon Rigoni, originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, where I fell in love with hockey, particularly as a fan of the Golden Knights. After traveling the country in an RV with my family, we settled in Texas, and I became a dedicated player, currently serving as the right-wing/ center for the Prosper High School Ice Hockey Team (Varsity) and previously playing for the Texas Warriors Ice Hockey Travel team (2021-2022).

What sets me apart is my relentless determination to excel on the ice, consistently striving for perfection in my skills and game understanding. My coaches have recognized my "good hockey sense" and a strong shot. I'm known for my work ethic, always the last one off the ice.

In academics, I'm pursuing a high school diploma with a focus on Sports Medicine, with plans to pursue medicine in college while continuing my hockey journey. Academics are my top priority, reflected in my unweighted GPA of 3.46 and a weighted GPA of 4.175. I've also taken accelerated coursework, including dual credit college classes.

My goal is to find a college that aligns with my academic aspirations while allowing me to continue playing the sport I love. I aim to leave college with both a degree earned through hard work and cherished memories of competitive hockey.
