Andrew Zahn '23 Recruiting Profile

Hey all, my name is Andrew Zahn. I am a defensemen for a high school team and a Single A travel team. I have been playing for three years. My first year was on a county team that I played one season with, the next year I started the first varsity high school game of the season and my career as a sophomore. The next year I was one of the teams top defensemen and was eventually sought out by the 16U Utah Golden Eagles as they were in need of a defensemen. I have played a few tournaments with the new team and love the higher level of play. I am different from other players because I have a drive and a goal to play NCAA hockey. I started way behind all the other kids due to starting later then most but made up lost time by extra ice time, private coaching, and just overall dedication to the sport I love.  In school, I take AP and honors classes and maintain a high honors GPA. I am also a member of the principals round table and the representative of the hockey team. Academics are always my priority but next comes my drive to be the best hockey player I can be.
