When I was four years old I began playing lacrosse. After a few years of playing, I began to gain interest in playing Division I. I also felt a strong desire to play at a professional level.
While I am very much committed to the sport, I also realize the importance of furthering my education. I have a strong academic standing and finished last school year with above a 90% average. I am a quick learner and am able to apply my knowledge and skills in new situations. In the coming years, I would like to pursue a science degree and then enter medical school.
My strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and general approachability have allowed me to develop my leadership skills. I also draw on a depth of experience in the sport. Having played box lacrosse since I was four years old has given me a specific style of play. I am skilled at working in tight spaces and consistently pushing the ball up floor. Having spent the last year as Team Alberta’s captain which has given me many opportunities to develop my leadership skills and character.
