Owen Russell '19 Recruiting Profile

I love lacrosse and when I'm not playing, I am coaching. I coach both box and field at the U-11/Pee-Wee "A" level. My goals are to get a part lacrosse and part academic scholarship into a university with great education and a high level, competitive lacrosse team. What I look for is a school with a great lacrosse program but also, the school must have great academics. lacrosse has made me smarter and a better man in the sense that I have learned courage, respect, and honesty through the game. In lacrosse, I am a natural leader that not only leads by example, but that can motivate my team to work hard and become not only better players as individuals but as a team. I like hard, focused practices and I love to play at a competitive level because I believe being pushed helps me to become a better player. I am always pushing myself to get to the next step and keep improving my game. I also work very hard in school and I am very proud of my 4.0 GPA.
