I have followed a unique path to playing goalie, as I first wanted to condition for my up and coming junior year football. I, however, fell in love with the game. The speed, physicality and adrenaline of the goalie position just stood out to me, so I jumped on the opportunity to play my sophomore year of high school. On JV I started during the preseason, and then quickly moved to varsity goalie by the second varsity game (my 3rd game ever). I became the starter by my 5th game ever. I recorded 134 saves with a competitive 71% save percentage in NorCals toughest league. By the end of the season I earned a spot on the competitive club team (NorCal).
Playing as a Goalie allowed me to develop my fundamentals and grow my lacrosse IQ. I use my knowledge of the game and athleticism to my team’s advantage as I’m the only voice on the field that the stands can hear the second that ball crosses to my side of the field, I’m verbally assisting my teammates’ positioning. This past summer I also experienced success on my club team on NorCal where I was named team MVP, and US Lacrosse described me as an “up and coming talent” in the class of 2024.
I am looking to further my academic goals of becoming a radiologist and pursue my new dream of playing lacrosse at the collegiate level.
