Michael Houk '22 Recruiting Profile

I'm a fast, physical, and tenacious player - 3 sport Varsity athlete with a love for lacrosse. I have been consistently playing lacrosse since the 4th grade. I  play for the SoCal Bulls as well as RC. I have been a starter on my high school Varsity team at the Bishop's School since my freshman year. My speed, strength, and size makes me a very physical yet disciplined player, able to succeed in 1 on 1 defense as well as team defense. My consistent passing and catching, combined with my speed, has led me to be the leading clearer on our team. Strong and clear communication is one of my greatest skills and was a vital aspect of our defense this year. Off the field I am a strong student; I have a 4.0 gpa and take multiple AP and Honors courses, and I achieved a 34 on the ACT. Outside of school, I have taken 4 courses of computer science through Johns Hopkins CTY, making me comfortable in multiple computer languages including Python, Java, HTML, and CSS. Throughout high school, I have volunteered for community service for over 40 hours. I have a deep love for lacrosse with a passion to play at the next level in college.
