My name is Kevin and I have been playing lacrosse since I can remember. My first coach taught me the game, he said you need to sleep with your stick to be a real lacrosse player and I did. I was born in NJ, and learned the game there. My family moved to San Diego in 2004 and I haven't stopped playing. My goal is to get an education and play lacrosse at the same time. I would like to be a teacher and a coach, similar to my dad and grandfather. They both played college football, my dad in the SEC at Ole Miss and my grandfather for the University of Tampa. I am in a rising senior now and have played varsity lacrosse for three years at Torrey Pines High School as an attack man. I am 6 foot 2, 160 pounds and average about 4 points a game. We finished 1st in conference this year, 2nd in the conference last year, and 3rd the year before. As per LaxWest, we are ranked 1st in the state of California and 3rd west of the Mississippi. I have played and still play on numerous travel and elite teams. At 14, I played for the youth 15 San Diego All Stars and traveled to Lake George. I attended the Sonoma Shoot Out 4 times, Blue Chip 225 and Champ Camp. I attended Ulimate Performance and Adrenaline High Rollers in the fall. My 2011 summer schedule is Adrenaline Coronado Classic, Coronado CA 6/18 - 619, Denver Univeristy Team Camp 6/24 - 6/26, Sonoma Shootout 7/15-7/17, Champ Camp Baltimore 7/20 - 7/24, and UVA Team Camp 7/27 - 7/31. I am a dedicated lacrosse player, working hard on and off the field. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to participate on a D1 High School squad such as Torrey Pines and Elite travel teams such as the RC Starz and Lax West LAX. School is equally as important, I work hard to maintain strong grades, get help after school and work with tutors in hopes of attending and playing lacrosse in college. The geographic location of the school does not really matter. Since I spent my early childhood on the east coast, going to the east, would be like coming home. The Midwest, South or West is fine too. Each region offers their unique sense of community and I am happy to experience any of them. I am open to all schools, big or small and although competition is important, so is the education. I have high hopes of playing college lacrosse and follow in the steps of my father and grandfather as a college athlete. Of equal importance is to set a positive example for my younger brother Kyle, as he aspires to someday play baseball in college as a pitcher and first baseman.
