I am a 5’ 9”, 150 pound junior from, Miami, Florida who is passionate about lacrosse and desires to play defense and LSM at the next level for an academically challenging institution.
I became interested in lacrosse in sixth grade simply as a way to make friends, however now, lacrosse means much more to me. Lacrosse, to me, is a necessity and a motivation that everything else revolves around. Lacrosse has shaped me academically and as a person to be the best I possibly can. Moreover, lacrosse has taught me about myself and lessons that relate to life, such as respect and determination. Lacrosse has taught me to be a leader and that sometimes leadership is best done quietly and by example.
I attend Ransom Everglades, a rigorously academic, private high school in South Florida which teaches students how to be true student-athletes; they allow me to schedule tests before school to prevent missing practice or games and we often have study session before practice. Even considering the time that my academics take, I am incredibly dedicated to developing and competing as a top lacrosse player. Ransom’s academic rigor in no way makes me lesser of an athlete than others.
Finally, another important thing to know about me is that from an early age, I have been very curious about how things work. I love taking things apart, putting them back together, taking them back apart, and sometimes not putting them back together. I’ve built my own desktop computer from parts I bought online and I’m currently building a car. About a year ago, I purchased a “totalled” 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX and proceeded to remove all the essential parts such as the engine, transmission, spindles, axles, and steering column. After having cleaned and refurbished all the old parts, I am now reassembling them on a new third-party kit car and will soon have my own, self-built, custom made car (see a picture of what my car will look like when I am finished https://goo.gl/images/d7VWEm).
