Hudson Sanger '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Hudson Sanger, I have been a Varsity Lacrosse Starter and Holy Trinity since I was a freshman. The players on my team have been my best friends and being able to play with them and watch our team grow to the level of success we have today has been an experience I will always remember. When I started going to Holy Trinity in 7th grade the coach asked me if I had ever played. I did a little bit when I was younger, so I said yes. He said great come out and bring any friends that may want to learn or play. We got a group of guys together and started to practice and learn the game together. We began competing in championships and even started winning some. We kept working and growing as a team year-round and won our District Championship my sophomore year. This past season (2022 Spring) we easily defended our district title and advanced through the first round of the regionals against a well-known lacrosse school. I was nominated for Defensive Player of the Year in my district and even won player of the game this past season for our local sports network. The hard work put in as a player and this team has put in as a unit has been a challenge, but the payoff has been worth it. It has also been a very humbling experience to come from a school not known for its lacrosse program or much of a sports program and have the opportunity to help lead one of the best defenses in the State to new levels of success. 

I am looking for an opportunity to play Lacrosse through college while earning a degree in Business. I hope to continue to build skills working as a team, building friendships, and overcoming challenges that I will use in business and life. I am confident with focus and hard work that I can be a solid addition to the team and school. I am up for the challenge, and I hope to continue to play the sport I love at higher levels of competition just like I have been able to do in high school.
