I started playing lacrosse when I was in the fourth grade. That was back then the sport was just now being introduced to Georgia, so it was my first time ever picking up a stick. But, I immediately loved this sport from the beginning. I have played other sports including baseball, basketball, and football. However, by far and away, lacrosse is my favorite. I have found new friends and met various mentors thanks to this sport so it has taught me a great deal regarding friendship and teamwork. While I am a hard worker on the field, I also put a lot of effort in the books. Most of my time is spent either studying or training. I hope to graduate as one of the top students in my class and excel in math in particular. In college, I hope to go to university with excellent academics, so I can be well prepared for success in my future and find a job that I love.
Sophomore year, I was placed on the JV team instead of varsity, due to my habit of getting penalties. However, after the first several games, I not only stopped getting penalties, but improved my game exponentially. By the end of the season, including playoffs, I played a significant role for my team and got the most playing time out of all sophomores that played up. This taught me that no matter what kind of odds that are placed against you, always work your hardest and you will persevere. That hardwork mentality has led me to be quite often the most athletic person on my team. I bench 290 and squat 365, which makes me quicker, faster and more powerful than most people on the field.
