Personal Statement
What do you need to know about me?
I picked up a lacrosse stick over 10 years ago and never looked back. We dotted our backyard with rebounders and goals and off I went, practicing when my friends were at the neighborhood pool for the summer, playing on spring teams, summer travel teams, fall teams, winter indoor teams, anything I could do to keep a stick in my hands. Fast forward to high school - although I was the youngest starting varsity player and born right-handed, I was asked to specifically help out our attack line at the side typically given to a left-handed person (if one is available). The hard work that I have put in over the years on things like my off-hand, has definitely served me well in helping to contribute to the teams that I play for and brought me the honor of being one of the top two points earners for the varsity team my freshman, sophomore, and junior years. I am physically and mentally tough, I don't back down from a challenge, and I strive to always be a good teammate and friend. I was honored to receive an offer from division 1 Mount St. Mary's, but I have decided to decline the offer.
