Mason Barney '19 Recruiting Profile

Over the numerous years of playing lacrosse, I have had the opportunity to develop important skills helping me become a better player. This has not always been easy as I come from a town in Indiana where lacrosse is scarce. I have learned from this that you must seek opportunities, open doors, and be committed to become a better student athlete.

Having the opportunity to play for True lacrosse and Titanium Elite has been instrumental in my development as a lacrosse player and a teammate. Playing for True has made me more vocal as a defender on, and off the ball. I have learned that communicating with my teammates is as important as the physical aspect of the game.  I have also learned the value and importance of being coachable. This contributes to my own growth as a player, and more importantly, our team's success. 

I have learned through being selfless, committed, and working as a team, leads to a program's success on and off the field. I believe that my leadership,  drive,  and talent can be an asset to a school's program. I am looking for a collegiate program that will help continue to develop these skills not only athletically, but academically as well.
