Dherya Jain '23 Recruiting Profile

I am Dherya and I usually go by DJ. I am a multi-sport athlete having experience playing Basketball, Swimming, Soccer, Track and Feild and continuing to gain more experience in Lacrosse. Fully committed to myself, my team, and the sport I play, I'm always focused and ready to learn from my mistakes. I love this sport and am very passionate about it. I started my athletic journey in Grade 1 and have never stopped since.  I'm a very down-to-earth person, who listens properly and does what he's told to do with full passion and commitment and always give my 110%.  Coming from a middle-class family, I know the value of hard work and patience. I am very focused on my career goal, which is to become a neurosurgeon, by graduating from one of the top colleges out there. I like to compete and have competition and also like to win.  I am ready to do whatever it takes to reach my goals and will never stop giving my 100% to it.

Although DJ is fairly new to the game, his learning curve has been very steep in a positive way.  He has a solid knowledge of defensive slides and break downs, and his ability to move around the field is evident.  DJ’s speed is evident when checking the ball, as he often creates havoc and difficulty for his check.  Off ball, DJ’s positioning is improving, but he always has his stick in the passing lane, making it difficult for passes to get through the middle.  DJ’s work ethic is exceptional both on and off the field.  He continuously pushes himself and is a true student of the game who wants to improve.
