It is a great honor to be names the 2nd team all-Conference during my junior year playing in a very competitive league in Montgomery County, MD. Being a starter for 3 years on varsity at Damascus High School has given me the opportunity to be a positive leader helping change the culture of our varsity lacrosse program. I have learned a great deal from my Coaches over these past three years. I've learned how to learn from my mistakes and strive to do better. I learned how to be a team member, not to blame each other but help each other succeed in the next game. My goal is to build on what I've learned each season and continue to help contribute to the team in a positive way. Through my years playing club lacrosse, I have had to adapt to numerous coaching changes. I feel this has made me a better player. Instead of being frustrated and staying stagnant, I embraced the fresh leadership to help me grow as a player.
The commitment I bring to the field matches the commitment I have in the classroom. It is important to me to succeed in both academics and lacrosse. I'm not sure yet what I want to study in college. However, I do know that a strong education and the lessons learned on the field and being a part of a team will take me wherever ever I want to go in life.
