Personal Statement

My freshman and sophomore year at Damascus High School has given me the opportunity to be a positive leader helping change the culture of our varsity lacrosse program. I have learned a great deal from my Coaches over these past two years.  I've learned how to learn from my mistakes and strive to do better.  I learned how to be a team member, not to blame each other but help each other succeed in the next game.  My goal is to build on what I've learned each season and continue to help contribute to the team in a positive way. Through my years playing club lacrosse, I have had to adapt to numerous coaching changes.  I feel this has made me a better player.  Instead of being frustrated and staying stagnant, I embraced the fresh leadership to help me grow as a player.

The commitment I bring to the field matches the commitment I have in the classroom.  It is important to me to succeed in both academics and lacrosse.  I'm not sure yet what I want to study in college.  However, I do know that a strong education and the lessons learned on the field and being a part of a team will take me wherever ever I want to go in life.

Club Information

  • Seasons of Club Experience
  • 6 seasons
  • 2023 DC Express (Elite)
  • Sophomore year of high school club- competing in 3 tournaments this Summer
  • 2022 DC Express (Elite)
  • I am very excited to be with DC Express. Changing teams in high school was a hard decision. I believe that this move will help me continue to grow as a player.
  • 2021 Team UNRL- National Team (Elite)
  • MDX Elite has a relationship with Team UNRL headquartered out of Minnesota. I was asked to play on their national team while I was involved with the MDX program. I played in tournaments during the Fall of 2021 and also during the summer of 2022. Now that I am committed to DC Express, I will have to see if I can fill in with the UNRL National team when the schedules do not conflict. My last Tournament with the UNRL Nationals was at Naptown in July of 2022.
  • 2020 MDX Elite (AAAA)
  • Due to Roughriders not fielding a 2025 team I was forced to make a club change quickly. I started with MDX the fall of 2020. I really loved playing for Coach Puhl. He also is the Head Varsity coach for Richard Montgomery High School and in the same division of Damascus High School. Unfortunately, due to family obligations he did not continue to coach the MDX team in the summer 2021 season. MDX sold to the Rebels out of New York the following year. With a new coach stepping in, I was hopeful for an opportunity to learn from a different coach and continue to grow as a player. However, I learned very little from my new coach that year and was not challenged. I did not want to change teams because I have a have a number of friends that I enjoy playing with. With the sale of MDX and my coach staying on as the head coach the following year, I decided to try out for DC Express.
  • 2017 Roughriders MD (AAA)
  • I played for Roughriders for 3 years. In the fall of 2020 the 2025 team disbanded. I enjoyed my time playing for Roughriders and learned a lot as a player. Unfortunately, I had new coaches each year and there was very little consistency. I believe this contributed to many of my teammates switching clubs resulting in Roughriders not being able to field a 2025 team for the 2021 season.
  • 2016 eastside lacrosse (AA)
  • This was my first year playing club lacrosse. I started with a team that was combined 2025/2026. This is when I really started to love this sport. I moved to the Roughriders the following year playing with just 2025.
