Personal Statement

My name is Kyle Durkin and I have lived in Massachusetts my entire life.  I am currently a senior at Dracut High School - Dracut, MA.  Throughout my entire high school career I have worked very hard to exemplify what it means to be a student athlete.  My parents raised my 2 sisters an I to dream big, plan ahead, and never to shy away from hard work.  In my four years at Dracut High, I have played 3 years of Varsity football (with an additional year on the Freshman team), 2 years of Varsity wrestling (a sport I started in Junior Year), and 4 years of varsity Lacrosse as a Senior Captain.  My three seasons of high school sports each year were complimented by Summer Club Lacrosse with the Middlesex Bears, and 2 seasons of winter Lacrosse with HGR.  Throughout my high school career, I have also had an unwavering focus on academics, allowing me entrance into the National Honor Society, National Business Honor Society, and recognition as a student athlete.  I am looking to study Engineering in college and play lacrosse.  I feel my drive for excellence, grit on the field, desire to win, and strong work ethic will compliment any college's team.  I strive to hold myself to high standards, recalling a saying my grandfather would often tell me..."the only place you'll find success before work is in the dictionary".  This is how I've always approached my classes and my sports...and now I am ready to work hard for you!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
