Personal Statement

My goal as a lacrosse player is to beat myself I was last when I walked onto the field. Before most games I have played I would tell my dad something I would improve on during the game, weather it was groundballs or 3+ assists or even making a certain number of perfect passes. Though I didn't always get every goal it was able to drive me to become better everyday I spend touching my stick. When I shoot I count the amount of balls in my ball bag then how many I put in the net to compare the percentages than the last time I shot. What makes me different than every other athlete out there is I have this mentality for not only lacrosse but every other aspect of my life. In school I take the hardest classes in order to push myself and in those classes I do my best to beat every grade I had from the last test, semester, or even classwork. I am able to maintain close to perfect grades in the hardest classes and also create a thriving social life. For example the summer between freshman and sophomore year I spent my days in a rigorous routine with an 8 am wake up. I would then eat and walk down to the field practicing against the wall for an hour, then shooting for 1-2 hours. Afterword I would run for 1-2 miles, walk home eat lunch then walk to my local gym for a 1-1.5 hour long lift. In the late afternoon I would normally skateboard while listening to music or be at club practice with my team, then in the evening invite my friends out to hang around the town. Almost every weekend I would have tournaments because my coach would invite me to all the extra ones regardless if I was signed up or not. What separates Reis Conway from every other player in this nation is I loved doing all of that, while others would complain I truly just loved being out in the world improving in all these different dimensions. Finally I will bring this love of improvement to your school, drive not only myself but others to be the greatest they can be in every part of their lives hopefully getting them to enjoy the process as much as I do.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
