Personal Statement

As I continue to grow with all the curve balls life is throwing at me I get to know myself better.  I used to think I knew exactly what I wanted to  be when I grew up.  Now that I am getting to that "grown up" age,  my vision has changed.  Living through a pandemic can sure put things into perspective for you.  I am now undecided on what career path I want to take.  What I do know for sure is that my collegiate goal includes playing college lacrosse!  I know that eventually I will find the career that I was meant to have and follow that path through college to achieve it.   I was raised to put academics before athletics. You have to have balance between the class room time and the field time. You need to exercise your brain as much as you exercise your body.  My parents always told me that God doesn't give you a gift he doesn't want you to use, and he gave me the gift to play lacrosse.  My gift to God is to use what he gave me to help get me into a great college to build a future. Trust is earned as is respect!  I come from a big family, I have 4 brothers. I am the 2nd oldest so I want to be a good role model for my siblings. We are a family team of 7.  My parents have always provided for me and I am thankful for that.  I was raised to respect others and be thankful for what I have.    I am a hard worker!  I put in 100% effort on and off the field. I believe that practice is just as important as a game.   I am a lacrosse player but I am NOT the lacrosse team.  You need your teammates as much as they need you!  Your team is your family, you have their backs and they will have yours. I will never give up until the final horn is blown and I carry that philosophy in the classroom.  I never stop trying until the final grade is given. I believe I am a good candidate for any team that wants someone that will be a team player and that will put in 100% effort every time.  That will step up to play anything the coach or team needs.  I will stand with my team in victories and defeats.  If that is what your team is looking for then I am the man for your team!!
