Personal Statement

I truly love the sport of lacrosse. I'm a Class of 2027 attackman at George W. Hewlett High School on Long Island. I've been a varsity starter since freshman year and currently play club for True Cat Jr, True Box and the Blatant National Team. I earned All-Conference honors and proudly serve as team captain.

Known for my field vision, quick hands, leadership, and high lacrosse IQ, I bring intensity and a team-first mindset every time I step on the field. Off the field, I'm equally committed to academic excellence, maintaining a 4.0 GPA with strong interests in business and the social sciences.

I'm seeking a collegiate lacrosse program that values work ethic, leadership, and academic excellence. I'm open to NCAA opportunities at the Division I, II, or III level.

I have always been a three-sport athlete (basketball, volleyball, and lacrosse, as well as tennis and golf). I have been able to maintain grades that are high honor roll throughout. I have put in many hours of community service, am a certified US Lacrosse Junior Coach  working with younger kids. In 2022, I raised $2500 for CityLax, a local New York City charity that works with inner city kids.

I have also done a lot of work outside of team lacrosse. I have attended multiple clinics and showcases, advanced camps (including IMG Academy, Apex and Trilogy) as well as strength, speed and agility training.

I hope to study business in college as I like the mental challenge it presents.

  • Feedback Strengths Myles, you possess a great lacrosse IQ and understood quickly what we were looking to accomplish in the offensive end of the field. You have great skill around the net, and scored some big goals for us both off the dodge and catching and shooting. I really liked your aggressiveness and willingness to get to tough scoring places on the field. You were able to get his hands free more often than not and get a good shot off on cage. In addition to the tangible offensive skills, you had a great week of camp as a leader and showcasing your hard work and effort. You worked hard in the ride and played an unselfish brand of lacrosse, something that did not go unnoticed by Coach Belisle and I. You set the tone for the team and for our offense all week, and we peaked on Thursday as we put our best team effort together and played fast and loose. Comments Myles, I had a lot of fun working with you this week. You put in a lot of hard work at camp, and that paid off with great results in the tournament. You continue to be a good communicator in the offensive end of the field, and your understanding of what we are trying to do helped keep others on the same page. I think your lacrosse future is bright. You are a hard worker, tough, and talented, and any team would be lucky to have you with them. Please enjoy the rest of your summer, and stay in touch if you are ever looking for a boarding school opportunity! Coach Name Tim Randall
