My name is Luke Solari, and I am from Warwick, NY. I am a high school junior at Warwick Valley High School, and I am working hard to become a division-level lacrosse goalie in college. I have been playing lacrosse since kindergarten and goalie since third grade. I have been playing for my multiyear Section IX Boys Varsity Lacrosse Champion team since the end of my freshman year, and I am also now playing club for True NJ that trains year-round. I fractured my hip at the end of a tournament in June 2022 which really set me back and I had to step away from club, showcases, and training; however, after 8 weeks of resting my lower body, I am back training hard in the gym and on the field and I am looking forward to a successful fall season with my new club team and high school tournament team.
I volunteer on the Warwick Youth Lacrosse Boys Team. Goalie trainers are hard to find and expensive for the town league, and I help any child who needs to learn this skill. I have also started stringing the heads for any youth or high school player for volunteer hours. I was not happy when others strung my stick, so I perfected it for my own goalie head.
I enjoy other sports and have played them for most of my youth. I have played rec tackle football, tennis, rec basketball, and snowboarding. I really like getting out on the airsoft fields for some great battles. I enjoy target clay shooting too. I also work hard in one of my parents' restaurants running food and training new staff.
I am undecided as of now for my college studies. I am taking a variety of classes in high school to prepare me so I can figure out what I may want to study in college.
