Personal Statement
Multi-sport athlete, dedicated to practice. I am self-driven to perfect my game, and to be the ultimate team player. My best attribute is to play selflessly to make the team shine brighter with an unparalleled competitiveness to succeed, 100% hustle. I want to play hockey at the highest and most competitive level as possible.
I started playing hockey at the age of 5. I have been playing hockey at the AAA level for 6 years prior to my freshman year in high school. My past teams have included the Cleveland Barons Elite, Team Ohio Premier, and the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks. My main position has always been at center, but I can also play the either wing position. A strong suit that I have in my game is my speed and my ability to back check. I take pride in working the corners, helping out on defense, and making the right pass to set up the goal. Currently I am on the Hudson High School Varsity Ice Hockey Team as the starting center. As a freshmen, I had 37 points (12 goals, 25 assists) which was the second highest point total on the team. I received Rookie of the Year honors this past season, as well as being named to the Red Division All-Star Team (honorable mention and the only freshman selected). Academically, I was named as a student scholar athlete due to my 3.7 GPA. I am taking a full course load to include honors history and honors biology courses. I also earned a position on the Hudson High School Varsity Lacrosse Team(1 of only 2 freshman). In the off season I play lacrosse for the Burning River Lacrosse club (midfield) which is one of the premier lacrosse programs in the Midwest region. I have done community service learning activities with my school and previous hockey club teams. These include picking up trash and wastes at a community parks, and serving the homeless food at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. I also volunteer for the Epilepsy Foundation raising money, and working at various charity events.
