I first heard about lacrosse in middle school. Growing up I played football and saw no appeal in the sport until I moved my freshman year of high school. There was a presentation of the sport stating that we would have the ability for a team in the 2016-2017 season of my sophomore year. That season I was introduced to the sport of lacrosse and immediately began to understand it. Our first season as a team we expected to have an even record. We fell flat and won 3 out of our 16 games. That season devastated me even though we were a new team. In the following season, my second year, I took it upon myself to completely rework the way I play in order to influence the team in some manner. I doubled my practice time by coming earlier than normal to compensate and be more capable of playing in the next level. In just the two short years I have played I am able to shoot 91 MPH.
I not only want to play in college, but I also want to further my academic career. I take my grades very seriously. I aspire to be a teacher to make an impact on the future. I have faced many challenges at my time in high school. I fractured my hand in football and went through rehab thinking I would have the ability to play again, but suffered a contusion on one of my fingers the game I came back. This lead me in the direction to play lacrosse. I am a person that puts my grades and passion of lacrosse before most things. My passion has given me the ability to grow as a person, but to also grow as a player.
