My dad, who played defense in High School, introduced me to Lacrosse in 3rd grade. From Football, Basketball, soccer and lacrosse, I have always had a defensive minded game. During my 5th and 6th grade years, I experienced severe ACL and MCL sprains on each of my knees. I missed a year of sports and I had to relearn how to run again. At this point forward, I focused on being the best Lacrosse Defensive player possible. Through conditioning, rehab and running cross country, I was able to perservere through these injuries and become faster, quicker, stronger and smarter. My coachability is exemplified by my ability to listen, understand and execute coach's direction on plays, setups and strategies. This attribute cascades into the classroom with my teachers.
My values which have been built up from my Christian faith and the mentoring from several coaches and my grandfather, has given me the foundation to push through trials in my life and the confidence to be able to discuss questions or concerns with teachers, coaches, teammates and peers. This foundation helped me to earn a starting position as a Freshman on the varsity team in 2018. Within a couple games due to my play on the field and work ethic in practice, I earned the respect of the upper-classman and was accepted, not only as a key defensive player, but also as a friend and participant in social events.
I am looking for a college or university that will continue my growth as a person, student and lacrosse player that will support my future goals in life.
