Personal Statement
Ever since the 3rd grade, both my teachers and coaches have told me that I am a natural leader. In the classroom and on the field, people have always followed my lead. I know that success and leadership does not come without work. I am working harder than ever to make my dream of playing college lacrosse a reality and currently have a 4.0 GPA while taking honors classes. I also serve as my Junior Class President for this year. I was named 2015 U.S. Lacrosse All-American, First team All-State, and First team All-Conference and was honored to be a team captain.
My freshman year I was a “shut down defensive middie” on the Oregon State Championship varsity team. I am now a starting midfielder and leading scorer on my team as well as a team captain. I have always been the fastest kid on the field regardless of where I play. I am a confident playmaker, athletic, intensely competitive and a great teammate.
I know that I can play at the next level and am determined to put in the work that will allow me to get a great education and to continue to play the game at the highest level. My high school coach has said that I am “the complete package”. To me, that means that I am a tenacious athlete, a committed student, a leader in my community, and a proud and loving son and brother.
