My name is Parker Snow and I play Lacrosse and Ice Hockey. I started playing Lacrosse in second grade, and I started skating at 4 and started playing ice hockey at 5. Sports have vastly influenced my life. It has made me competitive and has shown me how hard work leads to improvement and success. My parents have also influenced me. They have done so much for me throughout my life. They have driven me to hundreds of games over the years. They have also spent their own time to help me become a better player. Sports have taught me many valuable lessons. One of these lessons is how how I can surpass my expectations mentally and physically through hard work. This is really important to me because I have a natural drive to do well in everything, I participate in. With hard work, I am able to achieve this in sports and school. It has also taught me how to use disappointment to motivate me to work even harder and be more successful. My biggest academic goal in High School is to maintain a high GPA, while taking challenging courses. In college I want to be an engineer and this goal remains similar to my goal in high school. I want to do well and challenge myself. This drive to challenge myself academically relates to my naturally curiosity. I am someone who is interested in how the world works. I have had some challenges throughout my sports career. There have been years where I was on the line of making it to the higher team, but instead was put down on the lower team. This motivated me to put in more work outside of practice. One example is I worked with a specialized hockey training Clinics. I also have been to the DVHL hockey championship game twice. Both times we lost. This was a huge disappointment to me, but it helped motivate me to become a better player. This hard work payed off and last year we won the Pennsylvania 16uA Atlantic district championship, and I am now currently playing 18UAA level hockey.
