Stephen Kwan '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a highly coachable and committed teammate with a 3.7 GPA.  I'm dual sport athlete playing lacrosse and football.  I prefer lacrosse and play close in defense and play at the SAM linebacker position in football.  Playing the linebacker position has helped my footwork and field of vision for lacrosse.  I've started for my high school varsity lacrosse team since my freshman year, posting an 18-4 record over the last two years.  In the 8 games we played my freshman year I started every game causing 11 turnovers, grabbing 15 groundballs, 6 total penalty minutes, and was extremely active in our 83% clearing rate.  My sophomore year I again started every game, helping win our school's very first district championship, regional championship, super regional championships, and finishing #3 overall in the state.  I helped lead our defense to a record of 11-3, with a GAA of 6.2, causing 25 turnovers, snagging 41 groundballs, only 1.5 penalty minutes, and was key to our 78% clearing rate.   In addition to my high school team, I play for UNRL Texas and UNRL National Red.  UNRL Texas is an all state team with an Adrenaline Lacrosse's #3 power ranking, winning the Blackjack Classic 2021.   I am driven by results, learning, and a desire to constantly get better.
