Personal Statement
As I enter into the summer before my Junior year and looking forward to when it is time too get recruited, I think I fall into a good spot. I have played lacrosse for 11 years and it has been a dream of mine to play at the collegiate level for many of those years. Being from Seattle, not a traditional hotbed for lacrosse talent I work hard to try and get my name out there and show other players and coaches that it doesn't matter where I'm from, and I think thus far I have proved that. I believe that I would make a great addition to any collegiate team because of my athletic as well as academic honors. Athletically, for starters, I went through the tryout process last summer and was lucky enough to make the U16 Team USA roster which was a huge honor to be a part of. I have also been fortunate enough to receive invites to go to Juniors Open and Mainstage, two well-respected showcases. But athletics isn't the only important part of a student athlete, academically, I carry a 4.6 weighted GPA, received first Honors at O'Dea High school and am a part of National Honors Society (NHS). I look forward to helping myself expand that lens as I am enrolled to take four AP classes in my Junior year. I will continue to work hard getting myself into the spotlight and in sight of coaches until I know I've made the right choice.
