Riley Alley Summe...Lacrosse has a special place in my heart. During the 5th grade my parents asked if I was interested in playing. I had not really thought much about it and ended up not signing up that year. I regret that decision every day. Lacrosse has brought me closer to my brothers than any other sport could ever have. I have made many lifelong friends along the way. In the beginning, I played attack. Later, I switched to defense. For me, defense brought lacrosse to life. I’ve learned so much from the sport, dedication, teamwork, perseverance. Not only do I try to be a hard worker on the field, but lacrosse motivated me to do better in the classroom. The game helped me understand the importance of making sure work is done right and done on time. Between attending camps and my high school coaches, I have had the opportunity to work with some of the best players including Paul Rabil, Drew Snyder, and Kyle Harrison. They motivated me to work harder to develop the skills I need for lacrosse and life. Every day I try to help my teammates get better, whether in middle school, high school, or college. I believe that I would be a valuable asset to any collegiate lacrosse program and look forward to the many more years I have to play the sport.
