Luke Doherty '26 Recruiting Profile

I've always loved being on the water.  I attended a summer camp at the Sac State Aquatic Center where I was first introduced to rowing.  The camp counselor was really excited to see me row, in fact, he encouraged my mom multiple times to sign me up for rowing, his exact words, which he wrote down on a note card, "he's a beast, get him in a boat!".  I still have that note card. That's what started my passion for rowing. When I'm on the water, and I'm in the boat with my team, and we're rowing as one, there's no better feeling.
