Before rowing, I played baseball for 9 years from little league to high school in my Freshman and Sophomore years. I was dedicated to the sport but realized that I wasn't making any significant progress despite my efforts and in reality, I wasn't enjoying it. My dad recommended rowing, so I thought I'd give it a shot. After the first time, I was hooked. This sport, one with an efficient motion in which progress could be numerically tracked, was perfect for me.
