My name is Greyson Bouchard. I am a senior at Lakewood Ranch High school in Bradenton, Florida and I am committed to rowing at the next level!!
I train and compete with Manatee County Youth Rowing in Bradenton and enjoy both the competitiveness and family atmosphere associated with this program.
Although I played several different sports on youth teams, (soccer, baseball and lacrosse) I made the decision to specialize in rowing my sophomore year in high school. I thoroughly enjoy the training that competitive rowing requires and am working very hard to get stronger so that I can row in college. Despite being new to this sport and having lost most of my junior years regatta's due to COVID, I am very serious about getting better and rowing at the next level. This year the student-athletes and coaches selected me as a captain due to my attitude, work ethic, and completeness on the water.
I currently have a 3.54 weighted GPA and took 1 AP class my Junior year and am currently taking one with most of the rest honors classes. My first time taking the SAT without any prep, I scored an 1140. I will be taking a prep course this fall and will focus on getting my GPA up as well. At this time, my interests lie in either business or marketing regarding majors that I would like to pursue, however I may find new interests during my first year or so in college.
I believe I can compete at the next level and be successful as a student athlete and contribute to a great rowing program.
I will continue to work hard in the classroom and on the water.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards
Greyson
