Personal Statement

I truly love crew and it has become a part of me. No matter what boat, condition, or mood I will always pull the hardest I can. I joined my team‘s varsity program as an eighth grader, so I had to prove myself to my team and my old coach to get into the best boats but more importantly to gain their respect. That’s what makes me different from other rowers, I had to work myself up from the bottom of the barrel to gain the respect from my fellow teammates and my coach. This drive is what pushes me past my limits no matter the scenario and no matter the costs.
