Over the past three years I have experienced a lot of change in my life. Freshman year living near my grandparents and with my brother while my parents were moving down to Florida. Sophomore year having my father leave then help with my family again this yearand this year having to move into a 2 bedroom apartment with my 2 brothers and my mother. With all of this going on I needed to find an outlet for the stress formed from this. Rowing presented itself to me the summer of freshman year which is when I fell in love with the sport. Rowing has and I hope will continue to help me grow as a person teaching me how not to let the hard times affect the now along with many other skills on how to approach life. Rowing is where my home is and will continue to be due to the great friends and great times it has given me. It has helped me learn to focus on my goals and get through the hard dirty work not only in training but in life and academics.
