I am extremely passionate about rowing and love how rowing rewards hard work. You do not have to be the most gifted athlete genetically to be able to compete. I started rowing at age 14 and really struggled to compete with the 15-16 age group (u16). During the aforesaid season, I was ranked last. Through a lot of hard work, time and commitment, I finished my High School rowing career with the Most Outstanding Oarsman award at my School.
Rowing has taught me that sticking to something and giving yourself the time to develop, will allow one to realize their true potential. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe that I have the talent, work ethic and leadership to help my college team achieve their goals while also achieving academically.
