Andrew Orio '24 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspiration are to be the best version of myself I can physically achieve. I have always been very competitive and uphold a strong desire to work hard and help bring up those around me. I was a very competitive basketball player before Covid playing for multiple teams. Unfortunately, the pandemic cut my season short right before my championship game. With the disappointments that followed lockdown, I decided to strengthen both my academic and physical capacity to better myself as a whole. I still keep this intensity every day, always trying to outwork everyone else.  I enjoy the uphill battle that comes alongside hard academics and rowing. I believe firmly that with my praised leadership skills and will to constantly improve, collegiate rowing will aid my journey in strengthening my character.
