Mark Anastas '16 Recruiting Profile

I have the great opportunity of being a coxswain on both men's and women's rowing teams. I cox in the fall for the Syracuse Chargers, under Coach Dave Cusano, for the boy's team. This has earned me trips to the Head of the Charles Regatta for the past two years. In the spring, I cox for the Baldwinsville Crew Team, under Coach Chris Ludden. In the past two years my Boat (2014 Women's Junior V4+ and 2015 Women's Senior V4+) has placed 1st in New York State and 2nd and 3rd consecutively at SRAA Nations. This year we will attend Youth Nationals in Sarasota Florida June 12th to the 14th. Being on both men's and women's teams this has enabled me to learn, understand, motivate and make excecutive decisions on getting the best performance out of all my rowers. My goal is to earn a degree in Civil Engineering at a university where I can continue to develop and race as a coxswain!
