My goal is to move whatever boat I am in as fast as it can go. My high school coach, Lawrence Moebius, taught me this mantra that still guides me: "Make your boat faster." I think this principle is what will make me a great addition to any rowing team. A mindset of unrelenting improvement separates me from other rowers. I have rowed a personal best every season so far and will continue to do so. I think my academic achievement also reflects my commitment to succeed and to never settle for what I already have. I had a 100% GPA last year, the highest average of the sophomore class, but I have no intentions of resting on my laurels and letting my grades drop off. My athletic and academic achievements show what I have done, but I want to keep pushing to show what I can do for myself, my boat, and my team.
