Nikolai Sazonov '24 Recruiting Profile

I currently row for the Rockland Rowing Association. I row on the single and pair, But also row on the 2x, 4x, and 8+. I row year round, up to two times a day, 5-6 days a week. I am the fastest rower of my team and I also am a lead example on the effort I put into rowing every day. I am very excited to compete at a college level. 

I first rowed on an Erg in 7th grade, winter 2018. I fell in love with rowing as well as the competition it has to offer. As a beginner rower I was coached by Charlotte Buck, A US Olympic Rower.

3rd, Head of the Riverfront Regatta U17 1x - 2021 age 14

2nd  Ironmen classic indoor rowing race - 2021

1st, San-Miguel indoor rowing race - 2022

1st, Atlantic National Qualifiers, 1x

5th place in the B Finals of the National Championships (9th overall) 2022

1st, Mid-Atlantic Youth Championships - 2022

1st, Overpeck Summer Sprints, 1x

1st in the Head of the Schuylkill, 2-

                I also played soccer for 6 years, competing in many tournaments in the a team

I am a leader in the Nyack High school Red Storm Marching Band, competing in Syracuse since 2018

I am a very respectful and hardworking student who accepts any challenges I am given. I work for community volunteering whenever it is available. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible
