USRowing Youth Na...I've played many sports throughout my childhood, including baseball, lacrosse, basketball, and alpine ski racing. It wasn't until I started rowing that I felt I had found my sport. I've been rowing since I was 12 years old. Since I first got out on the water, I have aspired to continually improve my skills and strength as a rower and help my team succeed. There's nothing like being out on the water when everything feels seamless, and my mind and body are completely focused on rowing.
The highlight of my competitive career has been winning silver medals at USRowing Nationals in 2023 in the U16 8+ event and again in 2024 in the U17 8+ event and winning the gold medal in the U17 8+ event at the New York State Championships in 2024. Rowing with my team and in competition has become an important part of my life, and it's something I want to continue to do at the collegiate level.
Rowing with RowAmerica Rye is a year-round sport. As a result, I have learned to balance competitions and practice six days a week with challenging academics throughout the school year. I study hard to maintain a high GPA while taking honors and AP classes each year. I'm currently fulfilling the requirements for membership in the National Honor Society. I plan to study Physics and other STEM-related fields in college.
I want to attend a college where I can continue challenging myself in the classroom and out on the water. I am open to all competitive divisions at the college level. I'm most interested in finding the best college to meet my academic goals while rowing at the highest level of competition possible.
