I've had a passion for rowing since the 5th grade, and I'm continuing my passion in my college journey. I firmly believe that College rowing is the perfect environment for me to further develop my skills, contribute to the team's success, and excel both academically and athletically. I am currently working with Coach John Breen from Philadelphia. He oversees my on-water and land training. This past spring, I raced a 2X at the Mercer Lake Regatta. In October of 2023, I placed 31 out of 73 boats in men's varsity 2X.
I am working to improve my erg performance, with a specific goal of achieving a 2k time of 6:30 or better by the end of the winter season. My current 2K training pace is 6:38.7. This goal motivates me daily and pushes me to push my boundaries further. The specific weight room and erg workouts have not only helped maximize my physical capabilities but have also helped me develop a strong sense of discipline and dedication.
My dedication to rowing extends beyond the water and into the weight room, where I have achieved significant strength milestones despite being in a lower weight class at 175. Notably, I have achieved a 475-pound deadlift for 5 repetitions and a 405-pound squat for 5 repetitions. These achievements reflect my determination to excel as an athlete and team member.
