Personal Statement

Rowing is one of the most challenging sport. I love rowing exactly because it is hard. It can offer me a challenge both physically and mentally, constantly daring me to make mental breakthrough through a barrier. I am also a competitive person and my competitiveness is one of my main motivators. When I see someone accomplish some remarkable achievement, I feel the need to compete to show myself that I can do the things they can. I am looking for a school that can put my competitiveness to good use, to challenge me academically and physically through rowing.

Yes. Taking the IB diploma in my junior year, including Biology HL, Language & Literature HL, History of the Americas HL, Math SL, French SL, and Chemistry SL (my school does not have the high level chemistry course)
