While rowing for the past 3 years I've figured out one thing in particular, you won't get far on scores alone, a boat is never the sum of its erg scores, its the sum of the mentality of the people. I want to fight for every seat in my boat and the bow ball of others, and have my boat right behind my in that drive. I've rowed in a big team with huge depth, and I've grown to enjoy the pressure of 8 guys waiting to take your spot, its pushed me to keep up and improve and has fueled me to have a burning competitive spirit, while still being able to come off the water and celebrate with those 8 guys who want my seat.
