Playing soccer as a 4-year-old, I did not realize how much the sport would influence me. As I grew older, I developed a desire to play it at the highest level I could. Along with my aspiration to do well academically, my passion for soccer made me realize that collegiate soccer was the right path for me.
On the field, I am a crafty and creative player that can take any position depending on what the team needs. However, midfield is where I thrive given my skillset. Coaches often comment on my ability to perform under pressure and stay calm no matter what goes on between players, referees, and spectators.
I take pride in leading my team by example. Along with that, I am very coachable and have a high soccer IQ. I strive to improve anyway I can to become the best player I can be.
At school, I take the most rigorous courses and maintain a high GPA (4/4.4 unweighted/weighted). I intend to pursue a major in business or health care. It is important to me that I am challenged both academically and athletically. I understand that collegiate sports require organization and discipline, both of which I practice regularly in the classroom and on the field.
I hope to attend a college that encourages my continued development as a student and as an athlete. I aspire to find a community where I fit in and contribute the most.
