I am Omar Hamid born February 9, 1997, in Atlanta, Georgia. I have lived in Birmingham Alabama since the summer of 2000. I am a senior at Spain Park Highschool. I am passionate about soccer and have been playing club soccer for 10 years. In addition to gaining a good education my dream is to play soccer in college and ultimately become a professional soccer player. I currently play for Hoover Soccer Club U-18 Academy Team however our season has not started yet. ( We will be attending both the CSL Showcase in Raleigh and the Disney Showcase). However, even though soccer is my life i still find school very important and thus mantain a 4.2 GPA while taking a very rigorous schedule compiled with AP Classes. 

Below is some supplemental information on my soccer Carrier:

• Over the past 3 years (2012,2013,2014) I have been selected by ODP onto the region pool which is a list of the top 50 players in the southeast region with this year being invited to a regional team event with the region team. This year my Alabama team went undefeated in region camp with my stats being 3 goals and 1 assist. 

•  This summer, I was invited to the West Ham National Camp in Georgia, having been spotted earlier at a local West Ham ID Camp, but was unable to go due to being sick. 

• I have participated in the CASL Showcase and other various tournaments as a guest player with two region 3 teams in Alabama Huntsville FC and Briarwood FC. 

• I played in the MIC (Mediterranean International Cup) in Barcelona, last April which is touted to be the #1 youth tournament in the world. I participated in this event with the David Nakhid International Academy, which scouted me and invited me to play in this tournament with them. Many Top European teams and Scouts were their including Barcelona, Espanyol, Real Betis, Santos, U-17 Brazilian National Team, etc... While over there my team played U-17 Brazilian national team losing 2-0, and also played the Qatar Inspire team winning 1-0 with a goal from me. We played 5 Games over there with me starting all 5 and having 1 goal and 2 assits in those games. 

• Played in the Welsh international Supercup in Wales two summers ago, With my team eventually winning the tournament. 

• I currently have a try-out/Trial with Espanyol this November, which is being all paid for by Espanyol a Liga BBVA team in Spain. 

• Played with Darlington Academy in Rome, Georgia, in the Las Vegas tournament and also the Knoxville, Tennessee tournament.  

• Attended the The UAB camp twice and both times being selected into their all-star team being the youngest my first time being selected. 

• My one year playing high school soccer I was accepted into the varsity team with me and another sophomore being the only two Sophomores on the team.
