Personal Statement
College has always been an aspiration for me, not just for the education, but also the experience. You grow a lot during that four year period as you learn to live with some interesting people, balance school and social lives, and compete in either college or club sports. I'm good at keeping my grades up while playing sports and being involved in school activities. This ability to balance my life has allowed me to pursue things like club soccer and church missions without my grades falling. When it comes to soccer, I love what I do. Playing as a keeper used to be stressful, but once you've played for so long that stress turns into a love for the game. Once you stop looking at playing as an opportunity to fail, but instead as an opportunity to succeed, you gain a new joy for playing. I'd love to have the opportunity to play college soccer, but at the end of the day I just want a great community of friends. God has a plan for me, and while I hope it's to start at some D1 school, one can never know for sure.
