Hello my name is Godwin Babu. I am 17 years old and currently play for the Victoria Highlanders U21 program. I was born in India and moved to Canada at a young age, where I had the chance to progress my game, make a name for myself, and make everyone back home proud. This game has changed my life; it taught me to be brave, committed, respectful, and to never give up. Having the opportunity to make a job out of football while playing the game that I love is amazing. This desire is not only based on my aspiration but to show many people that it is possible to make it as long as you have the drive and work ethic. I am extremely blessed to be able to play the game that I love and that is why I've never stopped training. I train 2 times a day, working on both my physical and mental aspects of the game while learning and progressing by watching film. I'm not one to be handed things; I like to work for what I want. I turn the worst possible situations to the best and thats what sets me apart from other players. I am technically gifted, fast, and a versatile player. When I step foot on the field my 1v1 abilities take over and my vision changes the game. I believe that my abilities to break lines, make creative runs, create 1v1 situations through my attack minded play of style will allow any team I play for to succeed in the future. I wish that in my career I eventually get the opportunity for play college football and enter either the MLS Super Draft or the CPL-U Sports Draft which will kick start my professional career. As much as I adore the game, I believe that academics is very important. I wish to receive a good education, surrounded by amazing professors and friends that encourage me to become a better student and person. I have always held my self to a high standard in academics, pushing myself to become a better each day. Now I wish to translate my academic success to football.
