My name is Jag Zaharia, and I am a Canadian grade twelve student looking forward to obtaining a Business Degree while continuing to develop as a top soccer player. Academically, I have been an honours student since grade seven; my current GPA in my high school courses equates to a 4.0. I have also received several Character Awards in school. Athletically, I have played soccer and hockey at the highest levels, and have been Captain and Assistant Captain several times over. But I chose to pursue soccer as it is my passion. I am currently playing soccer, away from home, at an invite only soccer academy in Victoria, B.C. I am focussed and self-motivated. I do not back down from challenges. My hard work, as both a student and an athlete, sets me apart. In recognition of my hard work, last year I was awarded a Student Athlete with Distinction Award (90+ average while playing sports) at my High School. I am very coachable, and I am a team player willing to do anything to help my team succeed. I want to play NCAA soccer where I can benefit from more excellent coaching, and high calibre play, all while earning a degree.
